Assistant Manager EHS

JOB DESCRIPTION – SAFETY OFFICER Safety Management • Implement the company's EHS policies, procedures and safety standards at the plant. • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. • Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and recommend appropriate control measures. • Monitor compliance with safety procedures across production, maintenance, warehouse, utility and other plant areas. • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by employees and contract workers. • Conduct safety audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. – Statutory Compliance. • Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Factories Act/Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions requirements, applicable state rules – Implement and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system. – Incident Investigation. – Emergency Preparedness. – Safety Training & Awareness. – Contractor, Machine & Workplace Safety Management.
